Back in January, we took our very last trip within Albania. Along with some of our best friends and their kids, we took the two hour trip up to Shkoder to have a picnic at Rozafa Castle. I think this is one of my more favorite sites in Albania. The views are gorgeous, and the castle, or what's left of it is pretty cool, and you can get some good pictures.
Here we are walking up the cobble stone street to get to the castle.
Some beautiful/handsome views :)
This is one of my favorite of Asher and his birthday buddy from Albania.
Acting silly with his friend :)
Asher kept circling his friend while clapping. T just ignored him and kept eating his sandwich, very diplomatic... He must get that from his dad :)
The city of Shkoder...
While this may look dangerous, the drop on either side is not far at all :)
Playing around at the ancient castle.
Another beautiful view of Shkoder and the Buna River.
Sometimes...a lot of the time...Asher likes to photo bomb pictures, and try to be the extra member of their family :)
Hanging out with Mom :)
Pensive Asher. His walking stance reminds me of an older Chinese man, hands behind the back, walking around, contemplating the world.
At the end of the day everyone was well worn out, but it was a success. The weather was beautiful for January, good memories were made, and fun was had. Hooray!
And Asher was about to pass out cold on his Daddy's shoulders :)
Goodbye Rozafa Castle, and beautiful Shkoder!
