Asher's Albanian Family

One of the things that we are encouraged to do while living and working overseas is to help out the local economy.  In other words, we improve the local economy by hiring house keepers, gardeners, nannies, etc.
You didn't have to twist may arm very hard to comply with that one, so hire away we did.

We were blessed by two wonderful people in our lives.  Mereme who was our housekeeper/nanny when I worked a couple days of the week, and her daughter, Florida (Flo-ree-da) who was our on call baby sitter.  These two ladies became Asher's family.  They loved him and he loved them.  We will miss them very much, and were lucky to have them in our lives for the past two years.

Before we left Albania, they invited us to their house for dinner.  And boy did we eat!  It was like Thanksgiving and then some!  They made delicious Albanian food and we pretty much had to be rolled out of their house because of how much we ate.

We had a great time, and Asher enjoyed a few more moments with the family.

Asher, like usual, was not very cooperative for the pictures :)  So this was the best we could do.

Thank you for making the two years so much easier!  We will miss you!
