This year for Christmas, we stayed in Albania, and celebrated with just our little family. It was a pretty relaxing day. We were excited to celebrate with Asher this year since he is old enough to understand a little better what the holiday is about.
On the Sunday before Christmas, we got to dress Asher up all spiffy-like. I've had this Christmas outfit since about the time he was born, so I'm happy that it actually fit him at the right time... even if it was a year early :)

Ok - so I have a lot of these pictures, but you know what? HE'S SMILING!! It is a rare occasion that Asher actually smiles for pictures, so if I have them, I'm going to post them!

Merry Almost Christmas!
On Christmas Eve, we got together with some good friends, ate a delicious meal, and then the kids got to act out the parts of the Nativity.
The difference between our friend Tate and Asher was quite obvious when they got to hold the baby Jesus :) One has a serene, reverent, angelic look while the other looks like he just knocked off a convenience store and is making off with some poor woman's infant. The pictures say it all...

And then the troublemakers were off!
After we got home and put Asher to bed, I cleaned up our home to make it feel extra special and clean on Christmas morning.
And then it was Christmas morning!
Asher saw his first present right away!
While he enjoyed opening the kitchen, he then decided that the bow was the coolest part :) Score for the parents on a winning Christmas gift!
Then we moved on to stockings and the rest of the presents.
Grammy Trish got Asher the food for his kitchen, and he loved that!

It was a peaceful, relaxing day for us all.
His new helicopter or "Hopter" as he calls it, was one of this favorite gifts of the day.

And of course - his most used gift of the year from Grammy and Grandpa Paul - his trampoline.
It was intended to reduce his jumping on the couches, needless to day, it didn't help much :)
His cousins gave him this awesome chef set :) Thanks guys!

Grammy Babs and family sent out this great helicopter to Asher for Christmas. He was amazed by it. Again - Great job everyone for all the fantastic presents this year!
