El Paso Zoo Day

One of our first excursions out was to the El Paso Zoo.  It was a beautiful, overcast day in July, and we were going to take advantage of that and get out! We went with a new friend and her kids that we met at church.  It was a fun time!

The elephants...

The monkeys...

We went to see the sea lions, and it seemed like this was the most exciting thing these boys had ever seen.  Every time it swam past us, the boys would go crazy with excitement.  They thought it was a shark, so maybe there was a little fear behind that excitement :)

One of the neatest things we got to do was to feed the giraffes!

Asher was a little apprehensive about it - understandably :)

He ended up using my hand to feed the giraffe :)

It was a great day, and the boys had lots of fun.  I really liked this zoo, because you were a lot closer to the animals than at the DC Zoo.  Plus you got to feed the animals without some disgruntled zookeeper losing his mind on you!
