Ode to a Bouncy Chair

This post is dedicated to Michele, for being so kind, and for giving us the bouncy chair that has been such a blessing in our lives!

Yes, it has happened.

Asher has finally grown out of his bouncy chair, and has made the transition to his crib.  But we shall never forget the bouncy chair and all that it has done for us.  All the trips it has taken, whether to a friends house, or across the country, or sea, it has always been there for us.  Oh no, our bouncy chair has not failed us.  So, to this we all say thank you and farewell old friend.  We will miss your springiness and squeakiness, and the long hours of bouncing you...oh wait, that part we won't miss...but for all you have done for us, I wrote a poem expressing our love and gratitude...

Ode to a Bouncy Chair

There once was a green bouncy chair,
Which was given by a friend who did care.
   For our babies did cry,
And our nerves they did fry,
But this chair saved the last of our hair.

From this chair the magic did seep,
Sending our sweet babies off to a deep sleep.
   Us moms, we did sigh,
When we ceased hearing them cry,
And our sanity we were able to keep.

Farewell, Adieu, Mirupafshim...

Goodbye my friend...until next time!

  1. HA! I'm so glad I got to meet and even bounce that infamous bouncy chair :) Funny enough we now have one that looks just like it, but I don't think it is going to get the same use!
